Lauren’s first memories of cycling are set on humid summer days in Missouri atop a turquoise and purple themed steed with the name “Stardust” across the padded handlebars, complete with streamers on the bar ends. She can recall riding circles around her neighborhood for hours with friends popping wheelies and riding over big cracks in the concrete sidewalks. Gymnastics took up her life for most of middle school and high school and biking was few and far between.
Fast forward to college where she finally experienced her first mountain bike trail in Fort Collins, CO. Her boyfriend at the time (now fiancé) loaned her his childhood hardtail and she only made it half way up Maxwell trail until the rocks got the best of her. After that Lauren purchased her first full suspension cross country bike and ended up racing for CSU’s Cycling team for a couple years. She even raced downhill at nationals on a very small travel cross country bike!
Lately she rides any chance she can get! Moab, UT, is her favorite place to adventure. Something about that red slick rock just energizes her and makes her feel alive! She can’t wait for to inspire more ladies to get out on their bikes and find the adventure on the trails around them!
Goals she has for the future include: bike packing the Colorado Trail from Denver to Durango and riding the big drop on the jeep/bike trail Cliffhanger/Amasa Back in Moab.
