Overview

The VIDA MTB Series are women's mountain bike skills clinics dedicated to the highest quality instruction in destination riding locations. VIDA's mission is to foster a passion among women for mountain biking through events, and to create a lifelong community of riders. We are focused on inspiring a movement that promotes cycling as a way of improving lives. We achieve this by organizing events that communicate our philosophy and reflect our values, and thread together a network of ambassadors who share our passion on a deeper level in communities around the world.

VIDA literally translates to “life” and the VIDA MTB Series celebrates the entire lifestyle of women riders and supports them in all of their endeavors.

The VIDA MTB Series has a proven model and track record of producing high quality events since 2013 in Colorado, Utah, Arizona and Minnesota. We diversify our offerings with one- and two-day clinics, that provide skills work, on-trail application, tech talks, happy hours, and time for participants and coaches to socialize together.

In 2017 we focused on cultivating further engagement through weekday events— group rides, bike maintenance nights at local bike shops and fundraisers— supporting coach/ambassador initiatives, and Ambassador-focused events to educate and energize our most valuable resources in the field.

After an incredibly successful 2017 season, we intend to continue investing in our core market in the Rocky Mountains, as well as branch out into a new areas to grow brand recognition and a platform to support and connect women through mountain biking.

We are currently seeking sponsors for the VIDA MTB Series in order to expand and improve the depth and reach of our clinics. In order to make this possible, our focus is on establishing quality long-term partnerships with brands that share our vision for the sport.

2018 Goals & Theme

Our overarching theme for 2018 is to create programming with multiple points of entry. The VIDA MTB Series is, at its core, a women’s mountain bike skills clinics dedicated to the highest quality instruction in destination riding locations. Throughout a decade of studying and curating women’s mountain bike events, we know that we will not reach all women through a clinic experience.

2018 will see an increase in opportunities to join the VIDA community, whether it is through our flagship clinics, group rides, ambassador program, shop/bike maintenance nights, third party events and festivals, a race development program, and retreats. We will achieve this by organizing events that communicate our philosophy and reflect our values, and bring together a network of ambassadors who share our passion on a deeper level in communities around the world.

Attendee Demographics

Ambassador Program

In 2017, VIDA revamped its Ambassador Program to reach into the heart of women's mountain biking communities. Each one of them is unique and represents a different aspect of what it means to be a woman rider, but they are all alike in their passion for mountain biking and commitment to increasing the participation of women in our sport. Spanning coast-to-coast and New Zealand, fifty-two ambassadors, ages 17 to 70, shared their passion and inspiration for mountain biking through VIDA flagship clinics, group rides, shop/bike maintenance nights, retreats, and other local events.
